Wow. From those images it is hard to see that any damage was there at all. Good job!

The other day I was up at Associate's place - dropping of bits - picking up bits etc...

There sitting in a box - on a chair, was a rather sad, and broken "Gourd Pot" with faces on - well with some faces...one was completely broken of, there were chips all over the pot, pieces missing - other faces with damaged.....just a MESS!

So I inquired - "What's happening with this" - obvious response: "It needs repairing"!! -
Me: "Would you like me to try and repair it" - too which Associate gleefully said "Take it"...

So for the last few days - that is exactly what I did - slowly repaired the Pot...
Cleaned it up - and then in its final stage - mixed an old fashioned Oil and Bee's Wax polish - gently layered the pot first with an oil to clean of the years of grime....and then rubbed on the Ceramic 'polish' -  burnishing it with leather to give it the high glow finish...
Vola!!!

So the Pot itself is known as a Anthropomorphic Terracotta Perpetual Six Faces Pot. Era is about the 1900's - they reached a popularity in the 1940's - made into all sorts of products, including as a base to Lamps...

The idea of the Faces is so as too symbolize that the movement of the Solar Cycle, (the Regeneration) continues perpetually - as the entire Mystery of Birth, Death and Rebirth, the Cycle of Regeneration, as it is manifested in the Natural World.
Life could be counted on not to end; as it was always in the process of transformation - and every stage of that process, including a symbolic, if not real, return to the "pre-cosmogonic" Chaos, is seen through Night, and the dry season, and even Death, as an essential aspect of the Mystery.

'Light' aka Lise

When you do that research - go as far back as the records will allow - to the point when the land was actually claimed..

Look at it not as a "House" but as a bug on a Nature's Territory... Prior to the House existing - other Spiritual factors will have come into play - and that is the real picture that you need to understand...
The lay of the land - what rivers/streams etc crossed near by - the directions and where they are placed.....these will all pull in 'extra' Spiritual attachments...that existed long before your family came into the picture...

The main POWER in the Name is in fact instilled in the First Father's Surname/Last Name ... that Direct line of Energy the flows from Patriarchal - Father <> Sun...virtually unbroken...

The Matriarchal end of the deal is Zigzagged - with regards to the Mother <> Daughter flow... It will however eventually rejoin - re break - on many occasions - but in the end resonates just as strong as it did in the original existance...

Places are places, and rarely hold any significance - other than somewhere where the Family once was...

Why - because often the places applies in terms of many arriving into and leaving from,  as before major settlements ever occured - many would be a Tribal Nomadic existance...

You are most Welcome - in the end we got there with a bit of Community Team effort ...

SacredHamster added in some of the missing bits!!  - delighted that you are One with yourself again!

Thank you "Light"  your directions were perfect ---- Now maybe I can learn to be at least semi-modern --- Thank you very much!!!

I’d think all of them apply. Just stir the pot. If you can come up with a town then you might find regional folk societies printed info on line.

No it’s a saucer that’s glazed to look like that old metal ware that was used for camp cooking for years and years. Plates, cups, coffee pots, and bowls were done the way. I use this as a background for pictures because  it makes the turquoise show true colors in pictures.

I'm aware summoning and contacting are two separate concepts, I'm looking more to contact and not summon (mostly). Banishing still rests

I'm starting research on a certain house in my abandoned hometown. It was vacated by my birth family until around 2012 and a few of my relatives have passed in this home. I plan to contact these spirits while in the home and am looking for tips as well any spells you guys are able to share.

Blessed be and Welcome -- I would be very interested in discussing your teaching experience -- do you mean teaching 'occult' topics  or are you referring to like public education ----

So, I have been giving some thought as to what my early ancestors might have believed in. Some people say to look at your ancestors history and find inspiration from that for your practice... so that one can try to avoid appropriation i guess. I have no clue what my pre-christian ancestors might have believed. Most of my ancestors, as far as I can trace back, are from England... some France, some indigenous to america... and some possibly from Normandy.

Father's Father's Father's (My Father's Grandfather by father) Side: arrived in america in 1610 from England. Was in England at least from 1378 until then. However, the family name was supposedly given as a title as a result of the Norman invasion in 1066 and it was given by William the Conqueror (or William the Bastard, depending on which you enjoy)... or so the story goes... which would have been after the viking period in Normady.

Father's Father's Mother's (My Father's Grandmother by father) Side: was in america at least since 1812 (cannot find any further back information than 1812, was indigenous)

Father's Mother's Father's (My Father's Grandfather by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1641 from England. England from 1160 to 1641. Was in Wales from 1055 to 1160. Was in France from 950 to 1055 (cannot find any further back information than 950). France (the Gauls) was christian since the 5th century if I remember right.

Father's Mother's Father's (My Father's Grandmother by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1641 from England (cannot find any information further back)... Earliest known ancestor was born 1615 in England.

Mother's Father's Father's (My Mother's Grandfather by father) Side: arrived in america in 1682 from England. England from 1295 to 1682 (cannot find any information further back)

Mother's Father's Mother's (My Mother's Grandmother by father) Side: arrived in america in 1912 from Ireland. Ireland from 1828 to 1910 (cannot find any information further back).

Mother's Mother's Father's (My Mother's Grandfather by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1752 from Germany. Germany from 1501 to 1752 (cannot find any information further back)

Mother's Mother's Mother's (My Mother's Grandmother by mother) Side: was in america at least since 1850 (cannot find any information further back, was indigenous)

In England, the Celtic beliefs were widely held from around 1200 BCE until around 50 CE and started to be influenced by the invading romans... which brought christianity in around 100 CE. Then, the Anglo Saxons invaded and the period lasted from 410 to 1066; which mostly practiced a variation of German "paganism. Until christianity took over in the 7th century, it was a mix of Celtic, Germanic, and christian beliefs.

So, the question is... should i consider Celtic, which might be a possibility, or should i consider Germanic, or should i consider Roman... since there is no telling where the bulk my ancestors really came from or what they might have believed. I guess, if one goes back far enough, at some point, it was nature or animism I guess.

Or, does any of that matter at all?
