Written very scholarly, and goes into great detail about the Author's studies, experience, and knowledge of the Great Goddess Religions. Explores the current Neo-pagan movement in the United States through discussions with various groups whose Rituals are inspired by Ancient Deities, Visions from Science Fiction, Nature, Myth and/or Witchcraft. This Edition of Drawing Down the Moon includes a resource guide that details several hundred related journals, festivals, newsletters, and groups in whirl-wind tour of every other significant Path. She discusses the availability of Pagan studies, Inter-faith relations, Paganism on the Internet, and Pagan Festivals.
The second section of Drawing Down the Moon concerns Wicca, and is by far the largest section of the book.
On that note the Title hints at "Druids", which can be found within this second section, the most relevant chapter for ADF members, is likely that on "Magic and Ritual". Asatru likely makes out the best with perhaps 14 pages, but Druidry – has only about ten pages - AND two out of those ten pages on Druidry is devoted to ADF.
The balance of the book contributes to the last third section, which then concerns all of the other Pagans; Hesperian, Sabaean, Kemetic, and Radical Faeraes amongst others. . What do they believe? What are their Rituals like? The book says next to nothing.
