Wow. From those images it is hard to see that any damage was there at all. Good job!

So, I have been giving some thought as to what my early ancestors might have believed in. Some people say to look at your ancestors history and find inspiration from that for your practice... so that one can try to avoid appropriation i guess. I have no clue what my pre-christian ancestors might have believed. Most of my ancestors, as far as I can trace back, are from England... some France, some indigenous to america... and some possibly from Normandy.

Father's Father's Father's (My Father's Grandfather by father) Side: arrived in america in 1610 from England. Was in England at least from 1378 until then. However, the family name was supposedly given as a title as a result of the Norman invasion in 1066 and it was given by William the Conqueror (or William the Bastard, depending on which you enjoy)... or so the story goes... which would have been after the viking period in Normady.

Father's Father's Mother's (My Father's Grandmother by father) Side: was in america at least since 1812 (cannot find any further back information than 1812, was indigenous)

Father's Mother's Father's (My Father's Grandfather by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1641 from England. England from 1160 to 1641. Was in Wales from 1055 to 1160. Was in France from 950 to 1055 (cannot find any further back information than 950). France (the Gauls) was christian since the 5th century if I remember right.

Father's Mother's Father's (My Father's Grandmother by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1641 from England (cannot find any information further back)... Earliest known ancestor was born 1615 in England.

Mother's Father's Father's (My Mother's Grandfather by father) Side: arrived in america in 1682 from England. England from 1295 to 1682 (cannot find any information further back)

Mother's Father's Mother's (My Mother's Grandmother by father) Side: arrived in america in 1912 from Ireland. Ireland from 1828 to 1910 (cannot find any information further back).

Mother's Mother's Father's (My Mother's Grandfather by mother) Side: arrived in america in 1752 from Germany. Germany from 1501 to 1752 (cannot find any information further back)

Mother's Mother's Mother's (My Mother's Grandmother by mother) Side: was in america at least since 1850 (cannot find any information further back, was indigenous)

In England, the Celtic beliefs were widely held from around 1200 BCE until around 50 CE and started to be influenced by the invading romans... which brought christianity in around 100 CE. Then, the Anglo Saxons invaded and the period lasted from 410 to 1066; which mostly practiced a variation of German "paganism. Until christianity took over in the 7th century, it was a mix of Celtic, Germanic, and christian beliefs.

So, the question is... should i consider Celtic, which might be a possibility, or should i consider Germanic, or should i consider Roman... since there is no telling where the bulk my ancestors really came from or what they might have believed. I guess, if one goes back far enough, at some point, it was nature or animism I guess.

Or, does any of that matter at all?

You seem to have been on as much as the rest of us lately :)

These are really nice! Turquoise was the first stone i ever bought for a magical purpose. And as such, will always have a special place for me.

Side question, is that a gold panning pan thingy?

The dragon and what it has is a physical representation of the dream/vision/encounter I had in which i was given my unspeakable name.

I detailed that here: https://witches.community/page/view-discussion?id=177

The crystal cluster represents the white stone that had the name written on it. It was dropped in front of me by a white dragon that rose from the ocean.

I recently received a mystery box that I ordered from StoneDragonValley: https://www.etsy.com/shop/StoneDragonValley . The box was built as a fun / spiritual / healing box. I am so happy with what I have received. Some of the items I have used in ritual before, some I have not (such as the soaps and hydrosols), some brought a childish smile to my face, and others really made me feel special. I enjoyed going through the items and am in aww of the amount of care and consideration that went in to putting it together.

Here are the items that were included:

  • Alter Broom (besom), peppermint
  • Aromatherapy - magickal and healing hydrosols:
    • Helichrysum: Immortality

    • 8 Candles
  • Coffin: with skeleton, bike, talisman, nag champa, etc...
  • Crescent Moon with stand
  • Dryer Balls: Sandalwood and Dragon's Blood scented
  • Element Representation
    • Fire: Sabretooth Tiger
    • Earth: Gorilla
    • Water: Hippo
    • Air: pinecone with chicken images and feathers

    • Dark Goddess
    • Dragon's Blood
    • Egyptian Musk
    • Frankincense and Myrrh
    • Opium
    • Rose
    • Sandalwood
  • Soaps:
    • Pine Tar: protection against hexes, remove negativity, enhance power
    • Lemon Verbena: stop nightmares, purifies, connect to inner child, clears the unwanted
    • Dragon's Blood: purification, protection, and power to any magickal work
    • Nag Champa: aura and ambience, protection, and power
    • Soap Dish
  • Spirit Dragon: hand painted white and silver with spirit skull in its mouth with azeztulite. Made to represent the naming dream/encounter I had. The image is also posted in that discussion
  • Tarot Card: appears to be 5 of pentacles. Given with "The Earth Breathe" meditation description

I am so happy with what I got and cannot wait to start working with the items from this box! Thanks for all your care and hard work on this 'Light' aka Lise !

For future reference, Apothic Inferno is unbelievably gross. It worked well enough for the ritual... but ick

So that is what that bush is that grows in the front of my house. The flowers are the same shape and color. Seriously, i just thought it was a flower bush thingy that grows too fast... Yup i am a plant knower :D.

Interesting process. I like that you are able to get a few different magical "ingredients" from it.

I received the 3rd book i bought as a donation support item. It is in really good shape. Exactly as described. I started reading it as soon as i took it out of the box and had to stop myself (had other things i needed to be doing at the time lol). Thanks for putting these books up in support of this site! I find myself wanting to buy half of them lol.

I just received the mystery box I had ordered from the etsy store that 'Light' aka Lise has. She really took care of me. In the box was a dragon statue that she spent a lot of time on, in honor of this dream/encounter, so that I might be able to represent it proudly on my alter. She painted the dragon silver and white and put a spirit skull in its mouth and a really nice piece of azeztulite right there as well. THANKS 'Light' aka Lise ! I will treasure this always and it will always have a place on my alter, in every ritual (even if just as a witness).
